We are saddened by the passing of our friend and publisher, Warren Manshel. In addition to his many other contributions to the public interest--as Ambassador to Denmark from 1978 to 1981, founder of Foreign Policy magazine, etc.--Warren has been the publisher of The Public Interest ever since its inception twenty-five years ago. It is impossible to exaggerate the contribution he has made over this quarter-century. We shall dearly miss him.
