A Response to “Censorship for the Common Good”

WILLIAM J. BENNETT’S article, “Censorship for the Common Good,” in the Summer issue of The Public Interest takes issue with a recent report of the United States Commission on Civil Rights, Window Dressing on the Set: Women and Minorities in Television. I would like to clarify the position of the Commission in light of a number of the author’s apparent misconceptions regarding both the findings and recommendations of the report.
